While attempting to update to Cumulative Update 3 I received the following error. After reviewing the actual log (which was more cryptic than the pop up window) I wasn’t able to see what the specific issue was. I validated the setup account has explicit permission to ccmsetup.exe, re-applied the security permissions, rebooted, validate there were no open external connections to the server, but still no luck.
Simply rename or delete the client upgrade folder. I renamed mine and proceeded with another update attempt and MBAM it worked. Simple fix but couldn’t find anything in any other forum or posts. So here you go 🙂
